Suggested Volunteer Packing List 

All Staff Members - 

  • Bedding for XL Twin sized bed

    • Bed linens - sheets and pillow case

    • Blanket or sleeping bag

    • Pillow

  • Bath towels | *optional washcloth

  • Toiletries – shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, personal care products

  • Hair dryer (optional)

  • Clothing

    • Day 1 - Shorts/Jeans & any preferred HOBY Tshirts previously owned | * If you want to buy one that is your team color try submitting a store order asap! 

      • Highly suggested to wear sneakers or sandals with a heel strap on this day

    • Day 2 - Shorts/Jeans, sandals/sneakers, and the HOBY provided tshirt

      • Tshirt will be provided at Check-in

    • Day 3 - Dress clothing of your choice (dress, polo, button up shirts, khakis, dress pants, etc)

  • Jacket, sweatshirt or other long sleeve shirts

  • Comfortable shoes (appropriate for indoor and outdoor activities)

  • Umbrella and/or rain coat

  • Water bottle

  • Backpack/personal bag

  • Fidget devices or other calming tools

  • Prescription Medication (if applicable)

  • OTC medication as needed

  • Phone charger

  • Notebook or Journal

  • Portable Room Fan - We are staying in dorms without A/C

Facilitator Suggested List - 

  • All items indicated in list above based on your preferences

  • Some form of flag representation for your team color (Typically a colored bandana attached to wooden dowel)

  • Games you can use for group times - Question ball, frisbee, etc.

  • Extra pens and pencils for your ambassadors if necessary

  • Extra snacks you would be willing to share with your ambassadors just incase 

Prescription and OTC Medication:

If applicable, be sure to bring any prescription and/or OTC medication. Please bring only as much medication as will reasonably be needed during the HOBY event (3 days). Prescription medication must be in its original container as labeled by the pharmacy. Please refer to the Policy for Use of Medication During a HOBY Event included in the Health and Safety section.

Check In:

Check in for volunteers will start at 4 pm on Thursday, June 13. Please make every effort to arrive on time that day. Check in and room assignments will be handled at SCSU Case/Hill Hall, 550 3rd Ave S, Saint Cloud, MN 56301.
